The County Party and the Future

Our August speaker was Will Rodriguez-Kennedy, chair of the San Diego Democratic Party. Will shared his insights regarding the upcoming presidential election, identified the key races in San Diego County, and more than anything updated us on voter registration trends in the county. There is a continuing trend showing significant gains by the Democratic Party, with new registrations far outpacing the GOP. There are progressives winning seats in many local cities, and for the first time we can seriously hope for a progressive majority on the County Board of Supervisors.

Will also identified the key races to support and discussed the relationship between the party and the multiple GO teams preparing to deploy across the county. The trend is definitely in our favor.
