WOMEN OF COLOR 2021 ROAR PRESENTS: “SHEROES RISE” JUNETEENTH BREAKFAST

The Women of Color Roar Breakfast began in 2018 with the mission to celebrate African American elected officials and encourage young women of color to run for office and pursue careers in public service.

In the past three years twelve hundred community members of all racial and ethnic groups have come together the first Saturday in Black History month to honor women leaders in our community. We have sponsored over 300 high school and college age young women, “Future Leaders,” to attend as our special guests. This unique event provided the young women with the opportunity to be surrounded by women in leadership and exposed them to great role models. The Women of Color Roar breakfast was a transformative experience for them.

“Sheroes Rise” is the theme of our Women of Color Roar 2021 program and we are bringing the celebration to the world-wide web. For our fourth annual convening, Saturday, June 19, 2021 (Juneteenth), 7:30 AM PST, we are planning a special presentation honoring BlWOC leaders; past, present and future. A virtual celebration has offered the opportunity to include women from all over the country and produce a dynamic multi-media extravaganza.
